General information about the vocational educational establishment
State vocational educational establishment “Romny Higher Vocational School” is a modern institution of vocational education that provides training to meet labour market demands for competitive workers in the state economic space.
The school was founded in 1966. It can boast its history deeply linked to the vocational training landscape of the Sumy region. Over the years, the institution evolved, offered more types of training as a "higher" vocational school. Throughout its history, the Romny HVS has been serving as a training ground for various trades and professions vital to the regional and republican economy.
The modern equipment and technical means of the learning process make it possible to introduce the latest technologies of production in the field and educational innovations into the vocational training.
SVEE “Romny HVS” provides training in the following professions:
Based on the incomplete secondary education:
- Wheeled vehicle repairer, electric and gas welder
- Cook, confectioner
- Plumbing equipment and sanitary systems installer, bricklayer
Based on the complete secondary education:
- Cook
- Plumbing equipment and sanitary systems installer, electric and gas welder
Based on the qualification degree of a skilled worker
- Trade
- Food Technology
- Building and Civil Engineering
Teaching Staff
The educational process in Romny higher vocational school is conducted by 46 teachers and master instructors of different qualification categories (first, second, higher) and pedagogical titles (Excellence in Education, Senior Teacher, Honoured Worker of Education etc.), awarded with Makarenko Prize. Highly qualified teachers and masters work as trainees, mentors and supervisors for the entire academic period.
Students
Today Romny higher vocational school provides educational services to 463 applicants for qualification degree. Students of the educational institution join various clubs, participate in sports and vocational competitions, public and extracurricular activities, educational contests and project work. We take pride in the achievements of our graduates!
International cooperation
Student-centred education and full development of the personality are the issues of higher priority of our educational institution. Appropriate steps to achieve the goals are taken on a daily basis. Therefore our team of like-minded workers experienced the involvement in various projects, including EdUp international project, My school and I, Giz.
